What inspires you?

Inspiration is one of the most important things in life for me. Without it I would feel miserable most of the time. It motivates me to move on in good and in bad times. It helps me to feel alive and to connect to humans, an idea or something bigger than yourself, 'to be in the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative'.

What is inspiring for you, what does mentally stimulating you? When you feel exhausted, tired, worn out, overwhelmed with all sorts of useful or useless activities, what would help you to get out of this mood? Reading a book? Taking a walk? A hug from your husband? ;) Going swimming? Spending quality time with your kids? Listening to or making music? Drawing or doing some other handcraft work? ... Well think about it. Some of these things could help indeed. In case though I'm still struggling I try to connect to something bigger than me: I close my eyes, imagine a thin but strong line that connects me to heaven, like a WLAN, and taking a couple of deep breaths. I focus on one part of my body, e.g. my feet on the floor. After a while all these useless thoughts getting less and I can reconnect to myself. 10 min are already worth it and can change your day!
