What inspires you?
Updated: Sep 24, 2019
For me inspiration is one of the most important things in life. Without it I would feel miserable most of the time. It helps me to move on in good and in bad times. It helps me to be creative, to feel alive and to connect to humans, an idea or something bigger than you. One possible definition of inspiration I like: 'to be the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative.'
What is inspiring for you, what does mentally stimulating you? When you feel exhausted, tired, worn out, overwhelmed with all sorts of useful or useless activities, what would help you to get out of this mood? Reading a book? Taking a walk? A hug from your husband? Going swimming? Playing with your kid? Listening to music? ...Well some of this could help indeed. When I'm still struggling I try to connect to something bigger than me, I close my eyes, imagine a thin but strong line that connects me to heaven, like a WLAN, and taking a deep breath. I focus on one part of my body, e.g. my feet on the floor or the bones of my but on a chair. After a while the useless thoughts go away and I can reconnect to myself. 5 min are already worth it and can change your day!
